Nazareth College Athletics

Son of Thomas and Lewanne Nettles, Holley, N.Y... returning for his fourth season after competing frequently in the 2023-24 seasons... earned PRs in the 500 and long jump in the first meet of the season with a time of 1:14.31 and a distance of 5.45 meters... at the Empire 8 Indoor Championship meet, Nettles placed 11th in the 400 with a time of 54.15 seconds and 15th in the 200 with a time of 23.67 seconds... at the AARTFC Indoor Championship meet, Nettles placed 21st as part of the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:33.86... earned a PR in the 100 with a time of 11.67 seconds at Brockport in April... earned a PR in the 200 with a time of 23.30 seconds in April... at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championship meet, he placed 11th in the 400 with a PR time of 51.81 seconds, and 11th in the 200 with a time of 23.64 seconds.

2022-23: Nettles competed regularly for the Golden Flyers during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2023… helped Nazareth capture its first-ever Empire 8 Conference indoor title with a first-place finish in the Distance Medley Relay (10:49.64)… the outdoor season included personal-best times in the 200- (:23.53) and 400-meter (:52.74) dashes… represented the Golden Flyers for the fall and spring semesters on the E8 Presidents’ List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.

2021-22: Nettles part of the winning Distance Medley Relay (11:00.48) at the Empire 8 Indoor Championships to earn first-team all-conference... also earned third-team all-conference with a third place finish in the 4 x 400-meter relay (3:32.70)... helped 4 x 100-meter relay (44.20) take fourth at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships while also finishing eighth in the 400-meter run (52.86)... other top times included of 11.74 in the 100 and 7.45 in the 60-meter dash.

Scholastic: a graduate of Kendall High School, Nettles competed in soccer and track there... served as team captain in both sports and was the senior recipient of the Sports Boosters Sportsmanship Award... served as class valedictorian and received Nazareth Presidential Scholarship and NYS Scholarship... recipient of Eagle Scout Award from Boy Scouts of America.
