Nazareth College Athletics

Communication Sciences and Disorders major... daughter of Paul and Brenda Parker, Homer, N.Y... returning for her fifth season, Cornwell started 26 of the 27 games and averaged 7.6 points and 3.3 rebounds ... scored a career high 16 points against St. John Fisher (1/29/22) and then matched the total a week later against Hartwick (2/6/22) ... recorded seven double-digit scoring games.

2020-21: Cornwell was productive for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season as she appeared in all 12 games, including one as a starter... averaged 6.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game and was named Empire 8 Conference Defensive Player of the Year... also went 13-for-18 (.722) from the free throw line... scored a season-best 13 points and equaled a career-high with nine rebounds in a win over Alfred on 3/23/21... scored the game-winning basket with :04 left in a come-from-behind 62-60 win at Alfred on 3/29/21... had a career-best six steals in a win over Keuka in the E8 semifinals on 4/6/21.

2019-20: Cornwell played in 24 games for the Golden Flyers in 2019-20 and contributed 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game and ranked second on the team with 27 steals... went 18-for-22 (81.8 percent) from the free-throw line... scored a career-high 15 points in a victory at Alfred on 1/11/20 and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds in a home win over Alfred on 1/31/20... twice had four steals -- vs. Sage on 2/15/20 and at St. John Fisher on 2/22/20.

2018-19: Cornwell played in 19 games for the Golden Flyers in 2018-19 and averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds per game... scored a season-best seven points in a loss at Hartwick on 1/25/19... came off the bench and sank a pair of three-point baskets as Nazareth rallied to defeat Clarkson at home on 12/29/18.

Scholastic: a graduate of Homer Central, Cornwell was a three-sport standout there... played four seasons of varsity basketball and scored nearly 1,000 career points to become school's all-time scoring leader... earned first-team Onondaga League all-star honors... played for the Syracuse Nets club team... competed also in volleyball and softball.
