A former standout swimmer at Williams College, Emma Waddell joined the Nazareth coaching staff in 2018 as a part-time assistant coach.
To say that Waddell was a successful collegiate swimmer is an understatement as she completed her honor-laden career at Williams as a 27-time All-American and four-time NCAA individual champion. She won the NCAA title in the 100 butterfly three times (2015, 2017, 2018) and the 50 free in 2017. She was named the NCAA female Swimmer of the Year in '17 after winning the 100 fly and 50 free.
At the conference level, Waddell was a 27-time champion in the New England Small College Athletic Conference and holds conference records in the 50 free and 50 butterfly. She was named NESCAC Swimmer of the Year in 2017 and 2018. Her accomplishments extend beyond the swimming pool as she was the recipient of an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship in 2018 and was recognized as an Academic All-American by the College Sports Information Directors of America. She also was named as a Division III Scholar All-American by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
A native of Bangor, Maine, Waddell graduated from Williams in 2018 with a degree in Biology. She is currently working as a clinical research coordinator at the University of Rochester Center for Health and Technology.
