History major. . . son of Joe and Debra Hanss, Rochester, N.Y. . . team captain. . . returning for his fourth season, Hanss appeared in all 19 games in 2007 and  collected 47 ground balls. . . recorded assists in games against Connecticut College (3/13/07) and against Ithaca (4/20/07). . . 2006: played in all 16 games as a defensive midfielder and had 25 ground balls. . . 2005: played regularly as a long-stick midfielder . . . played in all 17 games and had 22 ground balls. . . had an assist in Nazareth's win over Utica 4/6/05 . . . Scholastic: a graduate of Irondequoit High School, Hanss was a standout in lacrosse and hockey there. . . played three seasons of varsity lacrosse and served as team captain in '04 . . . earned first-team Monroe County League all-star honors as a long-stick midfielder in 2004 while helping team to league title. . . played four seasons of hockey and was a first-team all-league selection as a senior while leading team to Section Five title.
