Nazareth College Athletics

Son of James and Michelle Denkenberger, Tully, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, Denkenberger served as Nazareth's primary face-off specialist in 2024, winning 211 of 436 (.484)... appeared in 18 of 20 games... led the Golden Flyers with 108 ground balls ... scored two goals and added one assist on the year... scored first-career goal against Brockport 3/13/24... won 21-of-22 faceoffs against Keuka on 4/24/24... named Third Team All-Empire 8... his 8.50 ground balls per game in six conference games was second in the Empire 8... represented the Golden Flyers on the 2024 Empire 8 Conference Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and above in both the fall and spring semesters.

2023: played in all 19 games for the Golden Flyers in 2023 and registered his first career point -- an assist -- in Nazareth's season-opening 10-8 win over Springfield... also went 109-for-243 (.449) on face-offs... won 10-of-12 in a win over Russell Sage on 4/15/23... finished second on the team with 49 ground balls, including a career-best seven in E8 playoff win at Alfred on 5/3/23.

2022: Denkenberger appeared in four games in 2022... went 5-for-11 on face-offs with two ground balls. 

Scholastic: a graduate of Homer High School, Denkenberger competed in football, wrestling and lacrosse there... played three seasons of varsity lacrosse as a close defenseman and long-stick midfielder... also played for ColdBrook Lacrosse Club... helped football team to top ranking in Section Three in 2021... won league title in wrestling in 2020.
