Matt Dalton

Matt Dalton, a former player and coach at Springfield College, joined the Nazareth College lacrosse staff in the fall of 2018 as an assistant coach.

Dalton spent the past two seasons as an assistant with the Pride, working as the team's Defensive Coordinator as well as Faceoff and Goalie Coach. During that time, Dalton also earned his Master's degree from Springfield in Psychology and became a licensed guidance counselor for grades 5-12.

Dalton had previous assistant coaching stints at Somers High School and at SUNY Purchase.

As a player, Dalton was a four-year standout for the Pride, serving as team captain for the 2015 season. He also was a three-time Pilgrim League all-star as a long-stick midfielder and helped the Pride to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances.

Dalton played scholastically at Somers High, where he was a three-year varsity starter as a long-stick middie.
