On the heels of a fine four-year playing career with the Golden Flyers, Jeff Mangini returns this spring for his third season as a part-time assistant coach.
A native of Freeport, Maine, Mangini graduated from Nazareth in 2006 with a degree in Social Science.
He was one of the Golden Flyers' captains in 2006 and was an honorable mention All-America selection as a defensive midfielder. In addition, he was chosen as a first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star. He also was an honorable mention all-E8 choice in 2004.
Magini finished second on the team with 46 ground balls in '06 and he contributed four goals as Nazarerh finished 12-4 and won the ECAC Upstate Championship.
Mangini played four seasons of lacrosse at Freeport High School in Maine. He was the recipient of all-conference and team leadership awards. He also competed in soccer and hockey.
Mangini works as a substitute teacher at the Norman Howard School in Rochester and is enrolled in Nazareth's Master of Science in Management program.
