Jason LaShomb

Jason LaShomb, former All-American goalie at Mercyhurst, joined the Nazareth coaching staff in 2011 and was elevated to associate head coach in 2014.

A native of Henrietta, LaShomb enjoyed a fine four-year playing career at Mercyhurst in Erie, Pa. and later spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Brockport.

As a player, LaShomb helped Mercyhurst to a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division II tournament in 2007 and was a three-time All-American there. He earned first-team honors in 2008 and was the recipient of the Kelly Award as Division II Goalie of the Year. In 2009. He also earned Academic All-American honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and was Mercyhurst's Male Athlete of the Year.

LaShomb has had professional playing stints with the Chicago Machine and the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse. He played lacrosse and hockey scholastically at Aquinas Institute, where he was named Greater Rochester Area Lacrosse League Player of the Year in 2005.

In addition to his two-year stint at Brockport, LaShomb has coaching experience at Champion Lacrosse in Buffalo and as a counselor at several camps and clinics. He has a bachelor's degree from Mercyhurst and is certified in elementary and special education. He gained a Master's degree from Brockport and certification in Childhood Literacy.
