2013-14: returning for his third season, Samaai played in two games for the Golden Flyers in 2013-14... named to ECAC West All-Academic team.
2012-13: played in five games for the Golden Flyers and had an assist in Nazareth’s 9-6 home-ice win over Western New England on 12/7/12.
Before Nazareth: a 2011 graduate of SACS High School in Cape Town, Samaai has competed in ice hockey, water polo, field hockey and rugby… selected to compete as assistant captain for the U18 National Team that captured a bronze medal at the Interprovincial Ice Hockey Federation championships in Mexico… played for the Cape Town Storm of the Cape Town Hockey League administered by the Western Province Ice Hockey Association.
