Biography
Business Management major... son of Steven and Pamela Lakus, Boston, Mass... returning for his fourth season with the team and was named an alternate captain for the 2023-24 season … played in all 28 games as a junior and finished with three points on a goal and two assists … scored a goal and added an assist against King’s (1/20) and assisted on the first goal of the game in a 4-2 win over Stevenson in the UCHC Tournament semifinal game … named to the UCHC All-Academic team.
2021-22: returning for his third season, Lakus scored two goals and had three assists in 2021-22... Had one goal, his lone power play goal, and also added an assist against Elmira on 10/29/21... finished the year with 25 shots.Â
2020-21: Lakus appeared in seven games for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-shortened 2021 season... represented the Golden Flyers on the United Collegiate Hockey Conference's All-Academic team for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.20 and above.
Scholastic: a 2019 graduate of Boston College High School, Lakus spent the 2019-20 season at the Pomfret School in Connecticut and had 11 goals and 10 assists in 32 games... played four seasons of high school hockey and helped team to two Super 8 (state) titles and three Catholic Conference championships... a two-time Catholic Conference all-star and recipient of the Timothy C. McCarthy Memorial Award as the team's Unsung Hero... won Boys and Girls Club Scholarship and Ryan "Duce" Morrissey memorial Scholarship.
