Nazareth College Athletics

Son of Donald and Julie Swartz, Rochester, N.Y... returns for his fourth year after a successful 2023-24 season as a captain... as a defenseman, Swartz led the team in shots blocked at 34... also totaled five points on one goal and four assists... Swartz also won multiple academic based awards, including the Outstanding Senior Award (2024), the Undergraduate Tutor of the Year Award (2024), and the Alice Taylor Gorham Research Award (2023)... was also named to the Academic All District Team (2024)... Swartz also earned President's List honors for both the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters.

2022-23: played in all 28 games as was tied with Josh Dressler for the team lead in points by a defenseman with 14 on five goals and nine assists … had a two-goal game against King’s (1/21) and also scored a goal against Stevenson (2/25) in the UCHC semifinal victory … named to the UCHC All-Academic team.

2021-22: Swartz appeared in 25 games as a freshman... recorded six assists on the year... first-career assist registered against Lebanon Valley on 11/5/21... credited with 20 shots on the year.

Scholastic: a 2018 graduate of Laurel Springs High School in California... spent the 2020-21 season with the Vermont Lumberjacks of the Eastern Hockey League and was named the Outstanding Defensive Player after contributing four goals and 10 assists in 34 games... played two seasons for the Buffalo Junior Sabres of the Ontario Junior Hockey League and was the team's assistant captain in 2019-20... played in 94 games and had two goals and six assists with 97 penalty minutes... played at The Hill Academy in 2016-17 and made the All-Academic team.
