Psychology major... son of Anthony and Rita McKinney, Wilmington, N.C... returning for his fourth season, McKinney appeared in 24 games in 2021-22, finishing fourth on the team with seven goals... also added seven assists... added a career high four-point game against Arcadia on 1/21/22 with two goals and two assists... led Nazareth with two short-handed goals... finished the year with 54 shots. 

2020-21: McKinney played in 10 games during the pandemic-shortened 2021 season and was second on the team with three goals and three assists... had one goal and one assist against Chatham on 3/12/21... also scored against Wilkes on 3/5/21 and Stevenson on 3/27/21... had two assists vs. Elmira on 3/10/21... represented the Golden Flyers as a All-American Scholar by the American Hockey Coaches Association for student-athletes with GPAs for 3.60 and above... also made the UCHC All-Academic team for 3.20 GPA and above.

2019-20: McKinney was recognized as the Golden Flyers' top first-year player in 2019-20 as he appeared in all 28 games... contributed 15 points on one goal and 14 assists with six minor penalties for 12 minutes... had two assists in a game four times -- in an 8-3 win at Neumann on 11/8/19, in a 5-5 tie vs. Fredonia on 11/30/19, in a 4-0 win at King's on 1/17/20 and in a 5-2 UCHC playoff win at Elmira on 2/25/20... represented the Golden Flyers as a All-American Scholar by the American Hockey Coaches Association for student-athletes with GPAs for 3.75 and above... also made the UCHC All-Academic team for 3.20 GPA and above.

Before Nazareth: a native of Washington, D.C., McKinney is a 2016 graduate of Northwood Prep in Lake Placid, where he competed in hockey, lacrosse, soccer and golf... spent the 2018-19 season with the Skipjacks Hockey Club of the United States Premier Hockey League and had 60 points on 22 goals and 38 assists in 38 games... also played one season for the Boston Junior Bandits of the National Collegiate Development Conference and one season for the Nepean Raiders of the Central Canada Hockey League and had five goals and five assists in 52 games.
