Jake Rivera, a four-year player at SUNY Potsdam, joined the Nazareth athletic staff in 2018 as a part-time men's hockey assistant coach.
Rivera graduated in 2016 with a degree in business administration and played regularly for the Bears for four seasons, accumulating 21 career goals, including 12 in his senior season of 2015-16.
He played professionally in 2016-17 for the Knoxville Ice Bears of the Southern Professional Hockey League and had 16 goals and eight assists with 154 penalty minutes in 48 games.
Rivera is a native of Pacific Palisades, Calif. and played two seasons of junior hockey in the Eastern Hockey League.
