Eric Sorenson, former goalie at Western New England University, joined the Nazareth hockey staff in 2015 as an assistant coach. In addition to working with the Golden Flyers' goaltenders, Sorenson assists head coach George Roll with video breakdown, scouting, practice planning, equipment ordering, travel arrangements and recruiting.
A Fairport native, Sorenson played four seasons at Western New England and made 69 career starts as a goalie. He set career records for wins (29) and saves (2,175) and was named ECAC Northeast Goalie of the Week 11 times. He also was a two-time ECAC Northeast Conference all-star and a three-time member of the all-academic team.
He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Sport Management and a Master's degree in Sport Administration from Canisius. He also has coaching experience at numerous camps and clinics.
