Art Education major... daughter of Jonathan and Amy Dewart of Barker, N.Y... returning for a fifth season, Dewart was able to exercise an extra season of eligibility made possible by the COVID-19 pandemic... started all six games during the shortened 2021 spring season and scored a goal in a 3-1 win over Houghton on 4/8/21... served as Nazareth's Empire 8 representative as Sportswoman of the Year... named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad that requires a GPA of 3.30 and higher... also named to E8 Presidents' List for 2020-21 for a GPA of 3.75 and above.
2019: Dewart played regularly for the Golden Flyers in 2019, starting 19 games and contributing 11 points on four goals and three assists... scored twice in a win over Morrisville on 8/30/10... also scored against Brockport on 9/11/19 and against Hartwick on 10/19/19... had two assists in win over Oswego on 10/15/19... named to the National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for achieving a grade-point average of 3.30 or better... competed for the Golden Flyers' indoor track and field team last winter and placed eighth in the 800-meter run at the Empire 8 Conference meet (2:29.79).
2018: Dewart played in 17 games in 2018, including 11 as a starter... finished with three goals and four assists, including a career-best eight points on three goals and two assists in an 11-0 win over Wells on 10/2/18... also recorded a pair of assists in a 6-3 win at Oswego on 9/18/18... competed for the Golden Flyers' track and field teams and earned Empire 8 all-conference recognition in three relays in 2019.
2017: Dewart had two goals and one assist on the year, all coming against Wells on 9/6/17 … finished the year with 18 shots … named to NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad (3.30 GPA or higher for semester).
Scholastic: a graduate of Barker High School, Dewart was a three-sport standout there ... earned first-team all-Western New York as well as all-state honors... also a first-team all-star in the Niagara-Orleans League... helped team to two league titles and three Section Six Class C championships (2013, 2014, 2016)... also a member of the basketball and track and field teams ... 800-meter school record holder ... 2015 league champion in track and field ... team captain in basketball ... National Honor Society member ... Barker Female Athlete of the Year ... winner of multiple scholarship awards.
