On the heels of an honor-laden playing career, Jennifer Hilts joined the Nazareth field hockey staff in 2020 as a graduate assistant coach.
A native of Eaton, N.Y., Hilts played four seasons for the Golden Flyers and ranks second all-time in career scoring with 96 points, including 38 goals and a school-record 20 assists. Her senior season in 2019 featured a team-best 15 goals, including a dramatic overtime tally to knock off top-seeded St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 playoff semifinals. She also was named to the all-North Atlantic Region team and competed in the senior all-star game.
Hilts also was a three-time E8 Conference all-star who represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List as well as the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad.
Hilts was Nazareth's 2020 senior recipient of the Jeff Van Gundy Award, which annually recognizes work ethic, leadership and pride in Nazareth athletics. For the next two years, Hilts will be working toward completion of her graduate degree in Physical Therapy.
