Danielle Famolaro joined the Nazareth the field hockey staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2016. She returned in 2018 to complete work as a graduate assistant coach.

A native of Rome, N.Y., Famolaro enjoyed a stellar four-year career as a goalie at St. John Fisher College, compiling a 40-37 record in 76 starts.

Famolaro helped Fisher earn its first-ever post-season win during the 2013 season, as the netminder corralled 18 saves in a 2-1 win over top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology. In addition to playing in the title game in 2013, Famolaro led the Cardinals back to the championship in 2014.Â

She was a two-time Empire 8 second-team all-conference selection as well as an honorable mention choice in 2012. She also was named to the Empire 8 All-Tournament team in 2013.

Famolaro earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Fisher in 2016 before enrolling in the graduate program at Nazareth.
