Owner and operator of one of the premier show stables in the Rochester area, Terese Bouchard brings a lifetime of equine knowledge and experience to Nazareth's equestrian team. She has been coach of the Golden Flyers since the program's inception in 2002.
At Huntington Meadow Stables in Webster, N.Y., Bouchard's base of operations since 1979, she has built a reputation for training riders who are competitive at every level of showing. Whether working toward professional equine careers or as accomplished riders, Bouchard's students have made a name for themselves wherever they go.
Bouchard's own riding credentials are impeccable. She began riding as a child at Way Farm in Rochester. She competed in dressage and cross-country before turning her attention to hunt seat competition, working for Roger Young Stables as head instructor. She has attended clinics by many top equestrians, including Katie Monahan, Ian Miller, Victor Hugo-Vidal, and Olympic legend George Morris, who has been particularly influential in her career.
Bouchard's stable at Huntington Meadow has trained many of the finest riders and horses in the upstate New York area and beyond, including Lynda Powell, who now runs Keilyn Show Stable in Odessa, Fla.; Buzz Van Horn, a professional rider and trainer in Texas; and Rich Baskow, a member of the Monroe County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol Unit.
Valerie Hoban and Kim Ernisse, who both started as lesson students, are still with Huntington Meadow Stables as professional trainers and riders, taking students and horses to USA Equestrian-sanctioned shows across the country. As head instructor, Bouchard works with students of all riding levels, as well as those with learning and/or physical disabilities. She has also served as riding instructor for Rochester Institute of Technology's P.E. riding program since 1981.
Under Bouchard's direction, Nazareth has established itself as one of the top teams in the state. In 2019, she coached Nazareth's first qualifier for the IHSA National Championships as Alexi Pryzbylski placed first in the walk/trot at IHSA Regionals and finished fourth at the national championship show. Sophomore Rylee Keiffer represented Nazareth IHSA Nationals in 2025, earning honorable mention in both the intermediate flat and intermediate over fences. Keiffer was named the Nazareth Female Sophomore of the Year and Tyler Manchester the Male Sophomore of the Year.Â
In 2023-24, a pair of freshmen shined for the Golden Flyers as Rylee Keiffer earned the reserve High Points rider award at the Nazareth home show and fellow freshman Tyler Manchester advanced to the IHSA Zone Championship show and placed fourth in the Limit Flat competition. He was second in the Regional Championship show. Manchester was named the Nazareth overall Male Rookie of the Year at the annual end of season awards show.
In 2007, Jacquelyn Spector participated in post-season competition, earning the Reserve Championship at IHSA Regionals and placing a respectable fourth in her division at IHSA zone competitions. In 2009, Nicki Paris and Alex Walker each represented Nazareth at the Zone II Championships at Centenary College in New Jersey. Jennifer Delles was a zone competitor in 2010; Lexie Kwiek and Tiffany Wendt in 2011; Caitlin Lefton in 2012; Megan Christopher and Kyli Knickerbocker in 2013; Jessica SanGiacomo in 2014; Lindsy Foster, Sarah Klocke, Rachel Pacella and Jenny Stolt in 2016; Jamie Trau in 2017; Katherine Nesbitt in 2018; and Madisyn Marks and Olivia Quattrociocchi in 2022, Tyler Manchester in 2024, and Rylee Keiffer and Anna Wick 2025.Â
