Nazareth College Athletics

Business Leadership major... daughter of Samuel and Tonya Guzman, Penfield, N.Y... returning for her third season, Guzman again served as the Golden Flyers' top player as she excelled at both first singles and first doubles... went 10-5 overall in singles play with a 5-1 mark in Empire 8 Conference matches... teamed with Claire Pullen at first doubles to record a 10-6 record with a 6-0 mark in conference play... secured points at both first singles and first doubles in Nazareth's 5-3 victory over Hartwick for the Empire 8 Conference championship in October of 2021... named first-team all-conference in singles and doubles for the second year in a row... named E8 Player of the Week three times -- for 9/6, 9/13 and 10/18.

2020-21: Guzman was the Empire 8's top player during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season... went 8-0 in singles matches and 8-1 in doubles... helped the Golden Flyers claim the E8 Conference title and was named both E8 Player of the Year and E8 Rookie of the Year... named E8 Player of the Week for 3/8/21.

Scholastic: a graduate of Fairport High School, Guzman played five seasons of varsity tennis there... helped team to Section Five title in 2019 and won individual sectional singles and doubles titles... recipient of Best of the Best Red Raider award for two seasons... two-time All-Greater Rochester selection by the Democrat and Chronicle... two-time recipient of Fairport Olde English F Award for academic achievement and school involvement.
