Nazareth College Athletics

History major... son of Michael and Debby McNally, Ogdensburg, N.Y... returning for his fourth track and field season, McNally competed indoor for the 2021-22 season for Nazareth... he placed fourth in the 800 at the Empire 8 Indoor Championships with a time of 2:02.92... compiled a career-best time of 4:34.48 in the mile at the Fastrack National Invite on 2/11/22... helped the Nazareth cross country team win its third-straight Empire 8 title in 2022 finishing sixth at the championships, completing the 8k course in 26:11.2 to earn first-team all-conference. 

2020-21: McNally's 2021 season was highlighted by a second-place finish in the 1,500-meter run (4:14.51) at the Empire 8 outdoor meet on 5/8/21... ran on the 4x800-meter relay that placed fourth (8:05.83) at the All-Atlantic Regional meet at Fisher on 5/20/21... other top outdoor times included 2:02.80 in the 800, and 4:06.02 in the 1,500... ran 4:44.46 indoor in the mile... had a strong cross country season in the fall of 2021 by finishing third with a personal-best 8k time of 25:46.7 at the Empire 8 Conference meet to help Nazareth capture its second straight team title... placed 25th at the NCAA Niagara Regional meet at Geneseo (26:05.7) to earn all-region honors... ran in both cross country races during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season and helped Nazareth win its first-ever E8 title with a fifth-place finish (19:33.6 for 6 kilometers) and first-team all-conference honors.

2019-20: McNally missed most of the 2020 indoor season due to injury... McNally enjoyed a strong cross country season in 2019, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Empire 8 Conference meet 11/2/19 at St. John Fisher... time of 26:40.4 earned him first-team all-conference honors as well as E8 Rookie of the Year... also was the team's top finisher at the NCAA Atlantic Regional at St. Lawrence, placing 82nd (26:48.5)... top 8-kilometer time of 26:29.7 was good for 15th place at Houghton's Highlander Invitational on 10/5/19.

Scholastic: a graduate of Ogdensburg Free Academy, McNally competed in cross country and track and field there... earned an array of athletic and academic accolades, including second-team all-state honors in cross country in 2017 and 2018... won Section 10 Class C individual title in 2018 and finished eighth at the state meet... earned Section 10 All-Northern academic honors for indoor and outdoor track and field as well as cross country... team MVP twice each in all three sports... recipient of James P. Seymour Memorial Award as outstanding senior male athlete... also won Zonta Club Scholarship, American Red Cross Scholarship and New York State Athletic Administrators Association Scholarship.
