Nazareth College Athletics

Psychology major and Public Health minor... daughter of David and Bridget Matz, Acton, Mass... returns for her fourth season after appearing in all 18 games and starting 15 as a junior … picked up 21 ground balls including a season-best three in a game against Vassar in Florida and again against Hartwick in Empire 8 action … had five draw controls including four in the victory over Russell Sage.

2022: appeared in all 18 games and earning four starts in 2022 … finished the season with 18 points on eight goals and 10 assists … had three goals and one assist in the 17-9 victory over Utica … recorded nine ground balls, seven draw controls and three caused turnovers.

2021: Matz played in all 13 games for the Golden Flyers in 2021, including seven as a starting midfielder... contributed six goals and seven assists with 13 ground balls and 13 draw controls... named as a third-team Empire 8 Conference all-star and the league's co-Rookie of the Year... had three-point games (1g, 2a) against Utica on 3/13/21 and at Keuka on 3/31/21.

Scholastic: a graduate of Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, Matz competed there in lacrosse and indoor track... competed as a midfielder in lacrosse and served as team captain in 2020... also competed for Storm Club Lacrosse.
