Business Administration major. . . son of Don and Crystal Dermody, Selden, N.Y. . . team captain. . . returning for his fourth season, Dermody started 17 of the Golden Flyers' 18 games in goal in 2009 and amassed 190 saves for a 10.14 goals-against average and a .534 save percentage. . .  had double digit save totals nine times, including a season-high of 20 against Western New England 3/21/09. . . also had 19 saves at Ithaca in a 13-12 overtime win over the Bombers in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament 5/1/09. . .  named most valuable player of the E8 Tournament. . . 2008: started 13 games and had 156 saves for a 8.99 goals-against average and a .591 save percentage. . . had double digit save totals nine times, including a career-high 22 against RIT in the ECAC Championship game 5/11/08. . . also had 17 saves in the ECAC semifinals against Union. . . 2007: played in three games and was credited with two saves. . .  Scholastic: a graduate of Newfield High School, Dermody played three seasons of varsity lacrosse for coach Ken Budd . . .  selected team MVP and served as team captain. . .  also played high school hockey and 10 seasons of travel hockey.
