Business Administration  major. . . daughter of Richard and Karen Young, Marcellus, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Young battled through a series of injuries in 2009 to appear in nine games. . . had 10 points on seven goals and three assists with nine ground balls and nine caused turnovers. . . scored three times in an 11-10 win over Rensselaer 3/21/09. . . also had two goals and one assist in a 10-6 win at St. Lawrence 3/13/09. . . 2008: ranked third on the team in scoring with 21 points on 17 goals and four assists. . .  also collected 27 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers, and 10 draw controls . . . scored three goals against St. Lawrence (3/14/08) and Alfred (3/30/08); two goals against Hamilton (3/15/08), Rochester (3/20/08) and RIT (3/29/08). . . earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors. . . 2007: had a strong freshman season as she amassed 22 points on 17 goals and five assists to rank fourth on the team in scoring. . . scored her first career-goal in Nazareth’s 12-7 win over St. Lawrence (3/16/07). . . recorded two goals in  wins over St. Lawrence, Ithaca (4/7/07) and William Smith (4/25/07), and overtime losses to St. John Fisher (5/6/07) and Colorado College (5/12/07)  . . .  tallied a career-high four goals in the Golden Flyers’ 14-9 victory over Hartwick (4/15/07). . . Scholastic: a graduate of Marcellus High School, Young excelled in soccer and lacrosse there. . . served as team captain in lacrosse in 2006 and was a first-team Liberty League all-star in ‘04, ‘05 and ‘06. . . also a third-team all-Central New York selection in ‘06 . . . earned first-team all-league honors as a midfielder in soccer in 2005. . . helped team to state soccer titles in 2003 and 2004 and a runner-up finish in ‘05. . . recipient of Kodak Young Leadership Award.
