Nazareth College Athletics

Biomedical Sciences major... daughter of Michael and Deborah Norwood, Lockport, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Norwood continued to excel for the Golden Flyers during the pandemic-altered 2021 spring season as she placed first in both 1- and 3-meter diving at the Rochester Invitational with scores of 254.65 and 280.80 respectively... despite cancellation of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, Norwood was declared an All-American for the second year in a row by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America based on video evaluation... also named to the Scholar All-American team by the CSCAA... honored as E8 Athlete of the Week for 3/29/21.

2019-20: Norwood completed another strong season in 2019-20 as she qualified for the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships for the second year in a row and was declared an All-American in the 1- and 3-meter diving events after the meet was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic... named Empire 8 diver of the Meet and Diver of the Year after winning both the 1- and 3-meter events at Webster Aquatic Center for the second year in a row... scored 438.45 in the 1-meter competition and 470.95 in the 3-meter... competed at the NCAA Region 4 Championships at Ithaca and finished third and fifth respectively to qualify for the national meet with scores of 434.50 in the 1-meter and 423.20 in the 3-meter... twice honored as Empire 8 Athlete of the Week -- for 11/4/19 and 2/24/20.

2018-19: Norwood enjoyed a sensational first season as the Golden Flyers' top diver in 2018-19... named Diver of the Meet at the Empire 8 Conference championships after winning both the 1- and 3-meter competitions with school-record scores of 440.25 and 477.40 respectively... qualified for the NCAA Division III meet after finishing fifth and sixth in the 1- and 3-meter events at the NCAA Zone Championships with scores of 409.05 and 436.20 respectively... placed 19th in the 1-meter (367.75) and 20th in the 3-meter (374.50) at the NCAA meet in Greensboro, N.C... recipient of Nazareth's Newcomer of the Year award.

Scholastic: a graduate of Lockport High School, Norwood competed in softball and diving there... competed for three seasons as a diver and finished third, first and second respectively at the Niagara Frontier League championships... finished second at the Section Six meet and 17th at the state meet in the 1-meter competition in 2017... also an all-conference performer as a shortstop in softball... played for the Wheatfield Nitro club team for softball... recipient of Nazareth Founders Scholarship.
