Nazareth College Athletics

History Education major... son of Dave and Meg Winkelman, Bradley Beach, N.J... returning for his fourth season, Winkelman competed for Nazareth during the pandemic-shortened 2021 spring season and finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.01), eighth in the 200 IM (2:03.98) and 12th in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.80) at the Rochester Invitational... represented the Golden Flyers on the Empire 8 Presidents' List for student-athletes with GPAs of 3.75 and higher.

2019-20: Winkelman competed regularly in 2018-19 and finished 12th in both the 200 IM (2:04.24) and the 200 breaststroke (2:18.32)... competed in the 800 free relay that finished 11th (7:13.63) as well as the 200 free (1:27.90) and 400 medley (3:37.01) that each finished 12th... also posted an improved time of 1:00.98 in the 100 breaststroke... recipient of team's Golden Flyer Award as Most Improved Swimmer.

2018-19: Winkelman competed for the Golden Flyers at the Empire 8 Conference meet at Webster Aquatic Center and placed 13th in the 400 IM (4:33.26), 14th in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.34) and 16th in the 200 breaststroke (2:21.69).

Scholastic: a graduate of St. Rose High School, Winkelman was a four-year member of the swim team there... served as team captain and earned team MVP honors in 2018... a three-time competitor in the New Jersey Meet of Champions in the 200 and 400 free relays... competed for the Atlantic Club Riptide team... recipient of Nazareth Presidential Scholarship and Catholic Daughters of the Americas Scholarship.
