Biography
Business Management major... son of Patrick and Laura McCabe, Clarence Center, N.Y... team captain... returning for his fourth season, McCabe swam eighth in the 1650 freestyle (17:22.47) at the Empire 8 Conference meet... also swam 12th in the 200 freestyle (1:49.84) and 14th in the 500 freestyle (4:56.24).
2017-18: McCabe continued his steady improvement for the Golden Flyers in 2017-18 as he placed fifth in the 1,650 freestyle (16:54.16) at the Empire 8 Conference meet... also swam sixth in the 500 free (4:47.61) and 11th in the 200 free (1:46.60)... part of the school-record breaking 800 free relay (6:58.96) that finished second on the E8 meet.
2016-17: McCabe swam well for the Golden Flyers in his first season and was the recipient of the team's Newcomer of the Year award... part of a school record in the 800 free relay that finished third at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 meet with a time of 7:02.37... also placed 17th in the 1,650 freestyle (17:13.27), 18th in the 500 freestyle (4:51.91) and 25th in the 200 freestyle (1:48.50).
Scholastic: a graduate of Clarence High School, McCabe swam there for four seasons... served as team captain as a senior and was named team MVP... also swam for the Clarence Swim Club.
