Nazareth College Athletics

Physical Therapy major... son of Drew and Sandy Koch, Ithaca, N.Y... team captain... returning for his fourth season, Koch was among the top swimmers in the Empire 8 in 2019-20 as he was named E8 Swimmer of the Meet and Swimmer of the Year after winning three individual events at the Allegheny Empire Conference meet at Webster Aquatic Center... also named team MVP as he won the 200 IM (1:53.87), the 400 IM (4:08.11) and the 200 butterfly (1:53.38)... also swam on winning 200 medley (1:33.07) and 400 medley (3:26.07) relays... swam on runner-up 800 free relay (7:01.86)... named E8 Swimmer of the Week for 2/24/20.

2018-19: Koch enjoyed another successful season for the Golden Flyers and was selected team MVP... swam on the team's record-breaking 400 medley relay (3:25.23) and earned second-team all-E8 honors... repeated as Empire 8 Conference champion in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.68... also second in the 400 IM (4:13.09) and the 800 free relay (7:03.09) and fourth in the 200 IM (1:55.76).

2017-18: Koch enjoyed a strong freshman season, highlighted by a first-place finish in the 200 butterfly with a school-record time of 1:52.48 at the Empire 8 Conference meet... also swam in the 100 fly (:51.54) and finished eighth in that event... placed third in the 200 IM (1:54.31)... swam the butterfly leg on two top relays -- the 200 medley relay (1:33.16) that finished first and the 400 medley relay (3:26.15) that finished second... recipient of team's Purple & Gold Award in recognition of exceptional team spirit and enthusiasm.

Scholastic: a graduate of Lansing High School, Koch was a six-year member of the swim team there... a five-time Section Four individual champion in the 100 butterfly and 200 IM... won both titles in 2017 to earn sectional MVP honors... also a three-time state meet finalist and team MVP... helped team to five straight Interscholastic Athletic Conference titles... recipient of Nazareth Presidential Scholarship and Leadership Scholarship.
