Math Education major. . . son of Gary and Karyn Castor, East Syracuse, N.Y. . . returning for his fourth season, Castor was an integral runner on the cross country and track and field teams in 2007-08. . . during the indoor season, Castor set the school record in the 500-meter dash (1:09.07) at RIT and was a member of four relays that each set school records. . . earned first-team all-conference honors in the 1-mile run and the 1,600-meter relay. . . during the outdoor season, Castor broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles (:56.21) at Springfield and was a member of the 4x800 relay team that broke the school record with a time of 7:53.01. . . recipient of team's Coaches' Award. . . earned second-team all-conference honors in cross country in the fall and was Nazareth's conference representative as Sportsman of the Year. . . 2006-07: finished sixth in the 800-meter run (2:02.70) at the Nazareth Invitational and 21st in 1,500-meter run (4:27.45) at Roberts Wesleyan. . . broke school record in the 400-meter hurdles (:56.51) and was a member of the school-record 4x400 (3:21.80) and 4x800-meter (7:56.17) relay teams. . 2005-06: finished 34th at Penn State Behrend Invitational, 24th at Nazareth's Short Course Invitational and 26th in the Empire 8 Conference meet. . .  Scholastic: a graduate of East Syracuse-Minoa High School, Castor competed in both cross country and track…achieved honors as 12th in the state when competing in the 4 x 800 event (8:12).
