Business Administration major. . . born 8/24/91. . . daughter of Steve and Shannon Weigel, Henrietta, N.Y. . . returning for her third season, Weigel did not swim in 2009-10 while recovering from a shoulder injury. . .
2008-09: Weigel had a solid freshman season with top individual performances in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:02.64, the 200-yard backstroke in 2:16.17, and the 200-yard IM in 2:15.01. . . finished 10th in the 200 IM, ninth in the 200 free and ninth in the 200 back at the Empire 8 Conference meet. . .
Scholastic: Weigel was homeschooled and a member of USA Swimming from grades nine through twelve. . . earned multiple top finishes at local meets and several top-16 finishes at district meets.
