Biography
Mathematics major. . . daughter of Steve Parmelee and Laura Kwiatkowski, Waverly, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Parmelee continued to be one of the Golden Flyers' top runners during the 2008 cross country season. . . placed 29th at the Buffalo State Invitational (21:50), 23rd at the Colgate 4.2-K Invitational (19:14), 73rd at the Western Ontario 5-K Invitational (21:14), 63rd at the 6-K Pre-Nationals Invitational (25:05.88), fifth at the Nazareth Short Course Invitational (16:17), 43rd at the Saratoga 5-K Invitational (19:14), 38th at the 5-K NYSCTC championships (20:44.7), and 74th at the 6-K Atlantic Regionals (25:28). . . received second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors and the team's Captains' Award. . . also competed on the track and field teams and was a member of the school record distance relay team, which also earned all-conference honors, as they finished in a time of 12:46.49 during the indoor season. . .
2007-08: Parmelee had a break-out season in 2007 as she was consistently one of Nazareth's top finishers . . . placed 18th at the Brockport 5-K Challenge (21:03), 10th at Nazareth's 4-K Invitational (17:02), 62nd at the Yellowjacket 5-K Invitational (20:55) and 42nd at the Empire 8 Championship meet (20:37). . . Parmelee also competed on the Golden Flyers' track and field teams. . .
2006-07: Parmelee finished 34th at Nazareth’s 4K Invitational and 49th at Conference Championships…finished eighth in the 800-meter run at the UB Invitational during the outdoor season. . .
Scholastic: a graduate of Tioga Central, Parmelee competed in cross country and track. . . served as team captain in both sports. . . named track team's Most Valuable Runner for 2006 and Most Improved Runner in 2005. . . recipient of cross country team's Coaches Award for 2004. . . recipient of Brad Sanford Scholar-Athlete award for cross country. . . named class valedictorian.
