Biography

Psychology major with Inclusive Education concentration. . . born 07/08/88. . . daughter of Scott and Linda Flanagan, Fairport, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Flanagan started all 17 of the Golden Flyers' games in 2008 and led Nazareth in scoring for the third straight season as she tallied 22 points on 10 goals and two assists. . .scored a goal in nine different games and tallied two goals in the Golden Flyers' 5-1 victory over Oswego (9/17/08). . . earned Empire 8 second-team all-star honors. . . currently ranks second all-time in goals scored with 34 and third in all-time scoring with 71 points with her 34 goals and three assists. . .  named to the National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association for the third year in a row. . . 2007: was spectacular for the Golden Flyers as she led the team in scoring by setting school records for goals (17) and points (35). . . scored both goals in Nazareth's 2-1 win at Washington & Jefferson for the Empire 8 Conference title 11/4/07. . . also had two-goal games vs. W&J on 9/15/07, at Brockport 9/25/07, and at Morrisville 10/3/07. . . also scored game-winning goals against Brockport, Union and Utica. . . earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors. . . named E8 Player of the Week for 10/29/07. . . named to the National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. . . 2006: enjoyed an outstanding campaign as she led the Golden Flyers in scoring with seven goals and was an honorable mention selection to the Empire 8 Conference all-star team. . . had game-winning goals for Nazareth in wins over Geneseo 9/5/06 and Ithaca 9/30/06. . . the goal against Ithaca came in overtime of a 1-0 win and Flanagan garnered Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week honors as a result. . . named to the National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. . . Scholastic: a graduate of Fairport High School, Flanagan played two seasons of varsity field hockey there. . . was a two-time first-team Monroe County all-star as a forward and was an all-state selection in 2005. . . also selected team MVP. . . graduated eighth in a high school class of 565. . . recipient of Nazareth Presidential Scholarship. . . member of National Honor Society, French Honor Society and American Chemical Honors Society.
