Finance major... son of Brian and Susan Avery, Pittsford, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, Avery appeared in seven games in 2019 and contributed two goals and seven assists with nine ground balls... had one goal and two assists against Elmira on 3/23/19 and three assists at Houghton on 4/17/19... also scored against UMass-Boston on 3/12/19.
2018: Avery appeared in seven games in 2018 and contributed four goals and one assist... scored twice each in wins over Houghton and Elmira.
2017: Avery appeared in four games as a freshman... scored two goals and had two assists against Houghton on 4/18/17... finished with five ground balls on the year.
Scholastic: a graduate of Pittsford Mendon High School, Avery played hockey and lacrosse there... helped lacrosse team to Section Five Class A title and Western New York Regional title in 2015... earned all-Greater Rochester honors in hockey and helped Pittsford to Section Five Class A title as well as New York state Final Four appearance... member of National Honor Society and recipient of New York state scholar-athlete award.
