Biology major… son of Luis Vazquez and Maricarmen Szendrey, San Juan, P.R… returning for his fourth season, Vazquez played in all 26 matches and 90 of the team's 92 sets in 2019... led he team with 192 digs, including double digit totals seven times... twice recorded a season-best of 16 -- against Kean on 1/19/19 and against Wells on 1/26/19.
2018: Vazquez appeared in 23 matches and 80 sets overall in 2018... led team with 175 digs (2.19 per set)... produced double digit kill totals nine times, including 18 at Penn State Altoona on 1/27/18... also had 16 vs. Wentworth on 1/19/18.
2018: Vazquez played in all 34 matches and 111 sets overall in 2016... had 42 assists and 14 aces and ranked second on the team with 185 digs... reached double digits in digs seven time, including a season-high of 14 vs. Hunter on 1/28/17.
Scholastic: a graduate of LaSalle Academy in Providence, Vazquez was a two-year volleyball standout there… twice named as a first-team all-conference player and earned all-state honors in 2016… helped team to two divisional titles and a 2016 second-place finish in the state tournament.
