Biography

Mathematics major with concentration in Adolescent Education . . . daughter of Michael Horbal and Michelle Zohler, Auburn, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Horbal played in 29 games for the Golden Flyers in 2009 and batted .271 with 23 hits, including four doubles and one triple, and a team-high 20 runs scored. . . had three hits with three runs scored and two runs batted in in an 8-1 win over Millikin 3/19/09. . . had three hits in a loss to Geneseo 4/24/09. . . 2008: started 28 games as an outfielder and batted .177 with 14 hits and 10 runs scored. . .  led the team with five sacrifce bunts, including two in a win over RIT 4/19/08. . . went 2-for- 3 with a run scored, RBI, and a double in a win over Utica 4/16/08. . . 2007: Horbal started 34 of the Golden Flyers’ 36 games in centerfield . . . batted .237 with a team-high 118 at bats with 28 hits and nine runs batted in. . . had three hits in a game three times. . . hit a home run vs. Nichols 3/12/07. . . Scholastic: a graduate of Auburn High School, Horbal played three seasons of varsity softball as a pitcher. . . earned second-team Onondaga League all-star honors in 2006 and honorable mention recognition in ‘05. . . also a member of cheerleading and bowling teams.
