Business Administration major. . . son of Michael and Carol Kanellis, Cortland, N.Y. . . team captain . . . returning for his fourth season, Kanellis appeared in 19 games in 2007 and earned Empire 8 Conference honorable mention honors as a short-stick specialist. . . recorded five goals and two assists. . . scored a goal against Ithaca in the Empire 8 Conference championship game (4/29/07) . . . 2006: played in 13 games and contributed two goals and one assist. . . one of his goals came in the Golden Flyers' 8-7 overtime win at Cortland 3/29/06. . . 2005: Kanellis played in eight games and went 9-for-24 on face-offs and had five ground balls. . . Scholastic: Kanellis is a graduate of Cortland High School, where he excelled in football and lacrosse. . . played three seasons of varsity lacrosse and earned first-team Onondaga League all-star honors in 2004 while leading team to league title. . . was an honorable mention choice in 2003. . . played two seasons of varsity football as a safety/running back. . . was a two-time first-team Onondaga League all-star and the team's defensive MVP in 2003. . . was a member of National Honor Society. . . older brother Greg Kanellis graduated in 2006.
