Business Administration major…son of Curtis Petzoldt, Phelps, N.Y. and Rixana Petzoldt, Clifton Springs, N.Y. . . returning for his fourth season, Petzoldt was solid for the Golden Flyers in 2008, appearing in 96 games and leading the team in kills per set (3.54) and second on the team in kills overall with 340. . . also produced a .281 hitting percentage with 24 service aces and 60 blocks. . . was a second-team selection to the NECVA Western Division all-star team. . . named to all-tournament team for Nazareth Invitational in helping the Golden Flyers win the team title. . . reached doubles figures in kills 23 times, including a season-high of 25 in a season-ending loss to Newbury 4/5/08. . . also had 19 kills with a .441 hitting percentage in a win over then-No. 1 ranked UC Santa Cruz 2/9/08. . . 2007: was second on the team in kills with 314 (3.53 per game) and tied for first on the team in service aces (30)... also added 111 digs and 54 blocks. . . reached double figures in kills 19 times. . .  recorded 24 kills for the Golden Flyers in their  four-game victory over Warner Southern (3/4/07) and 21 kills in Nazareth's win over 10th-ranked MIT (3/7/07). . . honored as a second-team NECVA all-star... named to all-tournament team at Endicott and NECVA Championship. . .  2006: had an exceptional first season for the Golden Flyers as he led the team in kills with 326 (3.33 per game) and was second in service aces with 36. . . also had 100 digs and 40 blocks. . . selected as the 2006 NECVA Western Division Rookie of the Year. . . named to all-tournament team for Nazareth Invitational. . . named NECVA Rookie of the Week for 1/13/06. . . posted double figure kill totals in 15 matches, including a career-best 28 against D’Youville 2/28/06. . . Scholastic: a graduate of Midlakes High School, Petzoldt played three seasons of varsity volleyball for coach Kyle Salisbury… team won Finger Lakes League titles in 2003 and 2004…earned all-Finger Lakes honors for three straight seasons in addition to Section Five all-tournament team honors…a high honor roll student.
