Communication Sciences and Disorders major… born 08/21/95… daughter of Mike and Marcia Thompson, Baldwinsville, N.Y… returning for her fourth track and field season, Thompson ran well for the Golden Flyers in 2017 in recording personal-best times in the 5,000-meter run (17:43.76) and the 1,500-meter run (4:51.87) during the outdoor season... set school mark in the 5,000 with a third-place finish at NYSCTC meet at St. John Fisher... finished second in the same event at the Empire 8 meet (18:05.25) at Nazareth... also won E8 indoor title in the 5,000 (18:41.01) and hd a personal-best time of 5:26.50 in the mile.
2016: completed her fourth and final cross country season in the fall of 2016 and earned all-conference honors by placing seventh in the E8 meet with a time of 19:12.3 for 5 kilometers... finished 42nd at the NCAA Atlantic Regional race at Rowan with a personal-best time of 22:18.8 for 6 kilometers... Thompson competed only during the indoor season in 2016... finished fourth in the 5,000-meter run at the Empire 8 Conference meet and ninth in the 3,000-meter run at the NYSCTC meet.
2015: Thompson was limited due to injury in 2015... placed seventh in the 5,000-meter run at the Empire 8 Conference outdoor meet with a time of 19:12.74... completed her third cross country team in the fall of 2015 and helped Nazareth win the team title at the NYSCTC meet with a sixth-place finish at Hamilton with a 6-kilometer time of 23:17.4... finished 21st at the Empire 8 Conference meet with a 5-kilometer time of 19:38.5 at Houghton.
Track and field 2014: Thompson excelled for the Golden Flyers’ indoor and outdoor teams in 2014… set school outdoor mark in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 38:27.04 at Nazareth on 4/12/14… finished seventh in the 1,500-meter run at the E8 Outdoor meet with a personal-best time of 4:59.18… also finished seventh in 5,000-meter run at the NYSCTC meet in 18:15.77… top indoor performances included 5:27.54 for the mile, 10:31.33 for the 3,000-meter run and 18:18.24 in the 5,000-meter run... finished seventh in the 5,000 at the NYSCTC Championships at St. Lawrence...
Cross Country 2014: finished 92nd at the NCAA Atlantic Regional race at Genesee Valley Park with a time of 23:47.5 for 6 kilometers... ran a personal-best 6k time of 22:54.2 in the Geneseo Invitational at Letchworth State Park on 10/4/14.
Cross country 2013: posted a time of 23:32.1 for 6 kilometers to place 88th at the NCAA Atlantic Regional meet at Letchworth on 11/16/13... also finished 20th at the Empire 8 Conference Championships (19:05.2 for 5 kilometers) on 11/2/13 and sixth at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational (23:36.9 for 6 kilometers) on 10/1213.
Scholastic: a graduate of C.W. Baker High School, Thompson competed in cross country as well as indoor and outdoor track… served as team captain in cross country for 2012 and earned second-team Onondaga League all-star honors while helping team capture league title… member of National Honor Society and French National Honor Society.
