Biography
History major. . . daughter of Daniel and Susan Giebel, East Aurora, N.Y. . . returning for her fourth season, Giebel had another strong season in 2006-07. . . member of the school-record 4x200-meter, 4x400-meter relay, and distance medley relays during the indoor season. . . received second-team all-conference honors in the 4x400 and distance medley relay. . . member of the school-record 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays during the outdoor season. . .
2006: broke indoor records for 200 meters (:27.82) and also was part of two relay records... earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors in the 400-meter dash. . . recipient of 2006 Coaches Award for outdoor season. . .
2005: won captains’ award for indoor season. . .
Scholastic: a graduate of Iroquois High School, Giebel participated in four years of outdoor track, four years of indoor track, as well as three years of cross country. . . led outdoor team in scoring in 2004 and was the recipient of the Latimer Award for outstanding athletic achievements. . . set five indoor track records, including 55-meter dash, 300-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 4x200 meter relay, and 4x400 meter relay.
