Psychology and Philosophy major...born 08/08/93...daughter of Mark and Karen Spera, Brewerton, N.Y... returning to the cross country team in 2013, Spera did not compete in 2012… was among the Golden Flyers’ top runners in 2011 as she placed 15th in the Empire 8 Conference meet and 52nd at the NYSCTC Championships… competed for the Golden Flyers’ track and field team in 2011-12 and finished eighth in the mile (5:53.39) and 10th in the 5,000-meter run (20:42.63) at the Empire 8 Indoor meet.

Scholastic: a graduate of Paul V. Moore High School in Central Square, N.Y., Spera was a four-year member of the cross country and track teams... served as cross country team captain and named team MVP for three seasons... helped team to Onondaga League title in 2010... also served as captain of outdoor track team and twice named team MVP... a 12-time recipient of Scholar-Athlete award and received Most Competitive Award at senior assembly... member of National Honor Society and recipient of New York State Regents Scholarship.
