Biography

Graphic Art major... born 08/08/91... daughter of David and Allison Wood, Vestal, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Wood enjoyed a strong 2012 season as she finished second on the team in scoring with 46 points on 21 goals and a team-best 25 assists... also had 13 ground balls and 21 draw controls... had three six-point games -- three goals, three assists vs. Drew on 3/15/12; five goals, one assist at Alfred on 3/31/12; and three goals, three assists vs. Hartwick on 4/21/12... also had five points (two goals, three assists) at Rochester on 3/21/12... earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors...

2011: Wood was limited to eight games in 2011 due to injury... still produced 28 points on 17 goals, 11 assists... had a season-best seven points on four goals, three assists vs. Birmingham-Southern on 3/15/11... delivered six points on four goals, two assists vs. Sewanee on 3/17/11... had five points on one goal, four assists at St. John Fisher on 4/6/11...

2010: played well for the Golden Flyers, appearing in all 16 games and finishing tied for fourth on the team in scoring with 35 points on 17 goals, 18 assists...erupted for career-best nine points on five goals, four assists in a 21-8 win at Alfred on 4/10/10... had six points on three goals, three assists against Hartwick on 4/16/10... had four points on one goal, three assists at Rochester on 3/11/10...

Scholastic: a graduate of Vestal High School, Wood played four seasons of varsity lacrosse there... completed her career as the school's all-time scoring leader with 241 points on 142 goals and 99 assists... also won 164 draw controls... earned first-team Section Four all-star honors three times as well as Academic All-American honors in 2009... served as team captain and earned team MVP honors in '09 while leading team to Section Four title with 42 goals and 38 assists... also excelled in field hockey, earning first-team all-league honors in 2008... recipient of the National Scholar-Athlete award and U.S. Army Reserve award as well as several academic awards, including the Jeannette Gajwani award as Student of the Year.
