Nazareth College Athletics

Psychology major... born 2/15/91... son of Walter and Donna Bidwell, Clifton Park, N.Y... returning for his fourth season, Bidwell finished 22nd in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.07) at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Conference meet at Webster Aquatic Center… career-best times include 1:00.81 in the 100 breaststroke, 2:16.32 in the 200 breaststroke and 2:02.59 in the 200 IM… part of school records in the 200-meter free relay (1:41.11) and the 200-meter medley relay (1:52.17), each set in 2010… 

2010-11: Bidwell represented Nazareth at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships and placed eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.61) and ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.81)...

2009-10: excelled in the breaststroke events with team-best times of 1:01.80 and 2:18.37 in the 100 and 200 events respectively... also swam :22.95 in the 50 free, :50.62 in the 100 free and 1:50.24 in the 200 free... part of the school-record 200 medley relay that posted a time of 1:37.86.... finished eighth in the 100 breast, ninth in the 200 breast and 17th in the 200 IM at the Empire 8 Conference meet...

Scholastic: a graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Bidwell was a member of the varsity swim team for six seasons. . . member of the medley relay that set the school record and earned All-American consideration. . . team captain and a Section Two all-star in 2009. . . earned the Section Two Sportsmanship Award and was a two-time state meet qualifier. . . helped team to two state team championships (2008 and 2009) and the Section Two championship during five of his six years on the varsity team. . . Bidwell’s team also won the Eastern States Championship in 2008-09. . . a member of USA swimming and the Schenectady Swim Club. . . also an Eagle Scout.
