Biography
Psychology major with concentration in Inclusive Education... born 7/13/91...daughter of Paul and Jan Ryan, Niskayuna, N.Y... back for her fourth season, Ryan was the Golden Flyers’ top runner in 2011 as she finished sixth at the Empire 8 Conference meet (19:07 for 3 miles) to earned first-team all-conference honors... also finished 15th at the Harry Lang Invitational at Colgate, 17th at the Hamilton Invitational, 21st at the Harvey Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan, and 108th over 6,000 meters (24:37) at the NCAA Atlantic Regional at Canton… competed for the Golden Flyers’ track and field teams and earned second-team conference honors in the 5,000-meter run (19:53.41) during the indoor season… finished 10th in the same race at the NYSCTC Indoor meet (20:02.14)… placed fifth in the 5,000-meter run (19:37.44) at the E8 Outdoor meet and fourth in the 10,000-meter run (41:34.39) at the NYSCTC Outdoor meet… set a school record in the 10,000-meter run with time of 41:31.59 at Washington & Lee (3/23/12)…
2010: Ryan was the Golden Flyers' top runner as she placed 12th in the Empire 8 Conference meet and 95th at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals... earned second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors and was named E8 Runner of the Week for 10/11/10... other top performances included second place (16:16—4 km) at the Nazareth Invitational and 27th at the NYSCTC Invitational (19:03—5 km)...
2009: finished 94th (24:38.3) at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional meet, 18th (19:46) at the Empire 8 Championship meet and 45th (20:43.71) at the NYSCTC meet...
Scholastic: a graduate of Niskayuna High School, Ryan was a member of the cross country and outdoor track and field teams for three seasons and the indoor track and field team for two seasons. . . received the cross country team’s Coaches' Award in 2006 and was team captain of the outdoor track and field team in 2009. . . earned several scholar athlete awards. . . a member of National Honor Society and the Principal’s Leadership Team.
