Psychology major...born 6/18/91...daughter of Harold and Kelly Knapp, Marathon, N.Y... returning for her second season with the Golden Flyers, Knapp transferred to Nazareth from the University at Albany and made an immediate impact by leading the Golden Flyers in scoring in 2011 with 23 points on eight goals, seven assists… honored as a second-team Empire 8 Conference all-star despite missing six games due to injury… had one goal and two assists in a 4-1 win over Morrisville… also scored against William Smith, Rochester, Ithaca, Stevens (regular season and in E8 Tournament), Geneseo and St. John Fisher… scored the game-winning goal with less than five minutes left in a 3-2 upset win over Stevens in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Conference Tournament on 11/05/11… also had two assists in a 3-2 win over Oswego on 09/10/11… named to the National Academic Squad by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association...

Before Nazareth: Knapp played two seasons at Division I Albany, appearing in 32 games over that span and delivering two goals and two assists... helped team to 29 wins...

Scholastic: a graduate of Marathon High School, Knapp was a four-year field hockey standout, amassing 80 goals and 36 assists in her career. . . earned second-team All-American honors in 2008 and all-state accolades in 2007 and 2008. . . named an all-star as a sophomore, junior, and senior and was recognized on the NFHCA/Penn Monto all-region team in 2007 and 2008. . . in her four varsity seasons, Knapp helped her team to an 85-5 overall record with state championships in 2006 and 2007. . . also a three-time Junior Olympian and received the silver medal at the 2006 and 2007 Empire State Games and the bronze medal at the 2009 Disney Showcase.
