Biography
Business Administration major. . . daughter of Jim and Mary Jo Custer, Truxton, N.Y... returning for her fourth season, Custer placed third in the triple jump (10.92 meters) at the NYSCTC Indoor meet in 2011 and fifth in the same event at the Empire 8 Conference meet... finished seventh in the triple jump (10.76 meters) and fourth in the 100-meter dash (:13.11) at the NYSCTC Outdoor meet in 2011... holds school records in the triple jump both indoors (11.15 meters/ 36 feet, 7 inches) and outdoors (11.1 meters/36 feet, 5 inches)... a two-time first-team all-conference performer outdoors. . . and a second-team all-star indoors in 2010... played four seasons of volleyball for the Golden Flyers and was an honorable mention all-conference pick in 2010...
Scholastic: a graduate of DeRuyter Central, Custer was a volleyball standout there. . . named state Player of the Year for Class D and was a two-time all-state selection as well as a three-time Central Counties League all-star. . . holds DeRuyter career records for kills (523), aces (367), assists (857), digs (402) and blocks (161). . . also excelled in track, earning team MVP honors four times. . . set school record and Madison County meet record with a triple jump leap of nearly 35 feet. . . also part of two school relay records. . . also played four seasons of soccer . . . recipient of Section Three scholar-athlete award.
