GREENWOOD, Ind. (nazathletics.com) – Six Nazareth female student-athletes across four programs have been named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, recognizing their combined excellence in competition and in the classroom. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their performances athletically and academically.
Representing Field Hockey were
Heather Bliss and
Avery Tanton. Bliss, an Elementary Education and Mathematics major, earned the distinction with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Tanton, who majors in Nursing and Public Health, posted a 3.95 cumulative GPA to earn the honor.
Women's Golf was represented by
Grace Colangelo, a Music Composition major carrying a 3.92 GPA.
From Women's Ice Hockey,
Corsica Skibinski earned CSC Academic All-District recognition with a 3.79 GPA while majoring in Biochemistry.
Women's Lacrosse picked up a pair of honorees in
Emma Bossard and
Grace Gardner. Bossard, an Accounting and Finance major, boasts a 3.98 GPA, while Gardner carries a 3.95 GPA in Communication Sciences and Disorders.
The CSC Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes who excel both in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible, nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and meet sport-specific participation requirements.
