FREDONIA, NY (nazathletics.com) - Nazareth Women's Lacrosse (0-5) fell to the SUNY Fredonia Blue Devils (4-0), 7-4, on the road Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nazareth and Fredonia traded shots in the first quarter but the contest remained scoreless heading into the second quarter.
- The Blue Devils started scoring 22 seconds into the next frame to take a 1-0 lead before Nazareth responded with a player-up score from Anna Myers at the 9:33 mark, her first goal of the season.
- Fredonia scored again just three minutes later to retake the advantage, 2-1. The Golden Flyers then notched back-to-back goals from Gwen Newtown and Grace Gardner to grab a 3-2 lead with 1:35 to go in the first half.
- Fredonia netted its third goal of the afternoon with less than 40 second left in the second quarter to even the score at three a piece at halftime.
- Megan Martin scored the lone goal of the third quarter, her sixth of the season, to put the Golden Flyers up 4-3 headed into the final 15 minutes.
- The Blue Devils dominated the fourth quarter, scoring four unanswered goals to take the game by a score of 7-4
GAME NOTES
- Grace Gardner continued her early season tear, scoring three points on two assists and one goal, her fourth game this spring with three or more points.
- Allie Klestinec notched 10 saves between the pipes against the Blue Devils, her fourth performance with double-digit saves this season.

The Golden Flyers return home to face SUNY Oswego, Wednesday, March 11. First draw is slated for 4 p.m. at NLPA Field.
