ROCHESTER, NY – The Nazareth women's lacrosse (0–7) team showed strong individual performances from its top attackers but fell to St. Lawrence (3–3), 16–5, Sunday afternoon at NLPA Field.
How it Happened:
- Nazareth opened the game with early energy, answering St. Lawrence's first goal when Megan Martin buried a feed from Grace Gardner to tie the game 1–1 at 13:06 of the first quarter. Martin struck again minutes later—again assisted by Gardner—to keep the Golden Flyers within striking distance at 2–4.
- Gardner added a solo goal in the second quarter to make it 3–9, giving Nazareth momentum heading into halftime. She continued her standout day in the fourth, scoring twice—including a setup from Gwen Newtown—to bring Nazareth to 5–15.
- Nazareth generated 12 shots and collected 12 ground balls, while goalkeeper Allie Klestinec made 10 saves in 53:37 of action.
