HILTON, NY (nazathletics.com) - Three Golden Flyers recorded Empire 8 weekly honors, the conference announced Monday afternoon. Women's Swimming and Diving junior Ellen Burroughs took home Swimmer of the Week while Amy Laskowski and Ryan Murphy represented Women's Hockey and Men's Volleyball, respectively, as Players of the Week. 

Burroughs registered three individual wins over Penn State Behrend on Saturday, claiming victories in the 200m freestyle (2:17.6), the 50m freestyle (28.62), and the 400m freestyle (4:46.34). Burroughs also made school history as part of the 200m medley relay team, recording a program-best time of 2:03.85. They bested the previous record set in 2018 of 2:04.12 while also managing to beat a surging Lions team by .01 seconds. 

Laskowski led the Golden Flyers with three goals and two assists in two wins over Chatham last weekend. The sophomore netted a goal and an assist in 6-0 win over Chatham on Friday with two face offs won. Laskowski rounded out the weekend with two goals and an assist in 7-1 victory over the Cougars on Saturday with three face offs won. 

Murphy totaled 20 kills at a .591 clip in a 3-0 weekend for the Golden Flyers at the Nazareth Invitational this weekend, adding eight blocks, seven digs, two service aces and an assist. The sophomore middle led Nazareth with 10 kills at .421 with five blocks in the team's 3-0 sweep of Nichols Saturday. Murphy also notched a team-best nine kills at .353 with three blocks in the Golden Flyers' 3-0 home opening victory over Penn State Behrend on Friday night.
