Impaglia Leads Women's Cross Country at Harry F. Anderson Invitational

ROCHESTER, NY - The Nazareth women's cross country team turned in a solid effort Saturday at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan, placing sixth overall in a competitive 15-team field. The Golden Flyers totaled 145 points, finishing just five points back of fifth-place Houghton. SUNY Geneseo captured the team title with 41 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Senior Ella Impaglia paced the Golden Flyers with another strong performance, making the top-10 with a time of 18:46.6 to finish seventh overall out of 183 runners.

Junior Kelsey Fahy was Nazareth's second finisher, crossing in 25th place with a time of 19:29.8.

Close behind was junior Bailey Visingard, who placed 37th overall in 19:44.6.

Freshman Jane Beyer impressed again with 42nd place finish in 19:53.1.

Junior Meghan Moyer rounded out the top five for Nazareth finishing 45th in 20:00.6.

RACE NOTES

Imaglia placed in the top-10 for the second time this season and was less than a minute off the winning time of 18:11.0.
The Golden Flyers had five runners in the top-45 and nine inside the top-80 of a field of more than 180 competitors.
Nazareth's team score of 145 points was just five points behind Houghton (140) and two points clear of Daemen (147).
