Pittsford, NY – Nazareth's women's cross country team started the season with a 4k race at St. John Fisher's Rodenbeck Invitational. The Golden Flyers, led by a trio of freshman, finished seventh out of 11 teams with a total score of 201 points. Buffalo finished first with only 24 points, followed by Geneseo with 31 points, and Cortland claimed third with 115 points.
How it Happened:
- In her first collegiate race, freshman Jane Beyer was Nazareth's first finisher in 38th-place with a time of 16:12.5.
- Freshmen Mariah Legrow (16:48.2) and Felicity Scherer (16:49.8) were the Golden Flyers' second and third finishers and placed 58th and 59th, respectively.
- Junior Kennedy Doran was Nazareth's fourth finisher with a time of 16:58.4 and was 65th overall.
- Crossing the finish line fifth for the Golden Flyers was freshman Ava Campeau. She was 77th with a time of 17:20.5.
- Sophomore Nadia Dudley and freshman Rachel Becker finished sixth and seventh as Nazareth's displacers. Dudley was 86th with a time of 17:33.6, and Becker was 93rd with a time of 17:48.0.
Quick Facts:
- Dudley recorded a personal best in the 4K, beating her previous best of 18:45.4, which she recorded at last year's Hamilton Short Course Invitational.
- Buffalo and Geneseo each had five runners in the Top-10. The Bulls claimed three of the top four places to edge the Knights.

The Golden Flyers are in action again on September 13th when they travel to Clinton, NY for the Hamilton Short Course Invitational.
